Property Management Group

Devon has three property management divisions: apartment management, house/condo management and commercial management.

The apartment division and house/condo division are managed by Alexandra Creighton. She is licensed in Rental Property Management and Strata Property Management under the Real Estate Act of British Columbia.

Alex has over 30 years experience in property management with Devon and her family run property management company. Alex is an expert in her field and is a great asset to Devon and its clients.

Alex has four licensed property managers report directly to her. These four property managers oversee 75 resident building managers.

Our building managers are the front line of Devon. They screen tenants, keep the building clean, deal with tenant issues, manage the incoming and outgoing inspections, tenant turnovers and make everyone feel comfortable and secure. They are the eyes and ears of Devon. The backgrounds of our building managers are incredibly diverse including a Coast Guard Officer, Logger, Executive, Teacher, Business Owner, Christian Missionary, Painter, Sales Clerk, Farmer, Maintenance Person and Canadian Forces personnel.

Supporting Alex and our property managers is our rental department. This department is a critical cog to the success of Devon’s pro-active property management model. The rental group is the bridge between the field and accounting groups. They track advertising, vacancies, notices, rentals, tenant credit checks, hydro applications, NSF payments, incoming inspections and outgoing inspections. Their constant diligence ensures potential revenue losses are minimized and buildings are operating at 100% efficiency.

The commercial management division is led by Dan Meir and supported by partners Rob Hunter and Dave Craig. Dan has extensive construction experience and a large network of service providers. Dan is predominately out in the field and oversees day to day operations. Rob and Dave have an extensive background in commercial property management dealing with lease negotiation, commercial sales, property development, and financing.
